Verlon Osborne, 76, of Fredericksburg passed away Friday, March 31, 2017.Mr. Osborne was retired from A & P Grocery and had worked at Four Winds Golf Club. He was an avid golfer and lived life to the fullest.Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Betty L. Osborne; children Kelly Newton (Joe) Shawn Osborne (Kelly) and Leigh Anne Osborne (Aaron); brother Clinton Osborne (Gaylah); sister Karen Dameron; four grandchildren Tiffany Wheeler (Jackie), Savannah Osborne, Ethan Osborne and Abigail Osborne; two great-grandchildren Colton and Haley Wheeler-Durr. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marlon and David Osborne; and sister Thyllis Marletta.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.A service will be held at noon Wednesday, April 5 at the funeral home. She was a member of Hazel Baptist Church and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.Mrs. Robbins is survived by her husband, Jason Robbins; a son, Jacob Brodie "J.B." Robbins; her father, Mike Chandler and wife Nancy of Evansville, Indiana; her mother, Theresa Dover Crow and husband Kenneth of Dickson, Tennessee; her grandparents, T.E. and Betty Chandler of Murray and Billie Dover Honeycutt of Buchanan, Tennessee; stepsiblings, Chris Crow of Fairview, Tennessee and Andrea Crow of Nashville, Tennessee; and a nephew, Alex Kellogg of Dickson.The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Hazel Baptist Church with Jordan Roach officiating. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky College in 1954, with a double major in chemistry and biology. She married her high school sweetheart, David Mitchell “Mike” Sullivan, in 1954. She and her husband owned and operated Sullivan’s Pharmacy in the 1960s and she later retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation after 37 years of service. She was a faithful member of Graefenburg Baptist Church where she was still an active participant in the Grace Notes Senior Adult Choir. Joshua D. Houde, 34, of Stafford, Virginia passed away March 17, 2017 in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He was born in Brunswick, Maine October 28, 1982, the son of Alfred and Patti Moeller Houde.He attended schools in Virginia and was a proud player for the Northhampton Bruins Football team.After high school, he served in the U.S. Army. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Global War on Terror. His deployments included Iraq and Kuwait.After his service to his country, he returned to the states and had moved to Maine in February of 2017.Joshua enjoyed New England sport, especially the Patriots and Red Sox.He is survived by his parents, Alfred and Helen Houde of Stafford, Virginia; a daughter, Skyla Houde of Morgantown, West Virginia; two brothers, Craig Tones and Evan R. Houde, both of Stafford, Virginia; a sister, Kristina Dawn Barry of Ft.
